How to use

Add line items
Each item belongs to a room and has a description plus an estimated cost. Add as many as you need.

Fill in actuals as you go
Once a contractor invoice lands, type the actual cost. The variance is computed automatically per item and per room.

Watch the totals
The summary card shows estimated vs actual totals, the variance and variance percentage across the whole project.

Export to CSV
Click Export CSV to download a flat spreadsheet-friendly file with every line plus a TOTAL row at the bottom.

- This calculator produces an estimate only and is not professional real-estate, tax, accounting or investment advice. Stamp-duty brackets, tax rules and fees vary by jurisdiction and change frequently — always confirm current rates with your conveyancer, tax office or financial advisor before signing anything.
- Per-room totals don't include contingency — add a 'Whole House' contingency line item to model a 10–20% buffer.
